How to Have a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ
1. Acknowledge the fact that you are lost and separated from God by sin.
- Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
2. Because of that sin nature we all deserve to die
- Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death..."
3. But God provided Jesus Christ to die for our sin.
- Romans 6:23b "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
- John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whosoever believes in Him (Jesus) will not perish but have everlasting life."
- Romans 5:8 "But God showed His love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us."
4. In order to have a relationship with God you must confess Jesus Christ as Lord and receive Him as your Savior.
-
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For it is with the heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess you are saved."
- Romans 10:13 "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
5. Eternal life is not something you earn. It is a free gift of God through grace alone, based on your faith.
- Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."
Are you ready to receive God's Free Gift of Eternal Life?
All you must do is voice a simple prayer similar to the one below from your heart and you will be saved.
"Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I know You died on the cross for me. I now turn from my sins and ask You to forgive me. I now invite you into my heart to live and trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for being my Lord and giving me eternal life. Amen."
If you prayed this prayer from your heart you are saved. Period.
