The Children's Ministry will be taking children in the 3rd– 6th grades to a winter retreat at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park on January 25th - 27th. There is limited spaces, so spots are first come. The cost will be $60. Please see Kim Brown for more information.
The chili, stew and dessert cook-off will be after service on Sunday, January 27th. If you would like to enter a chili, stew, or dessert, the cost is $25 if you sign up on/ before January 13th. After the 13th the cost will be $30, and after the 20th it will go up to $35.. All money raised will go towards the building fund. There will be an award given in each category as well as bragging rights.
We are using the cook-off as a time for our church family to get together and eat. It is $5 per person to eat as much as you want. Bracelets will be sold that day at church.
You’re invites to join us on January 6th to hear the 2019 vision for Emmanuel Baptist Church. We will be having fresh hot breakfast, including bacon— LOTS OF BACON. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 - 9:30am and Connections classes start @ 9:00am. After worship we will have a members meeting for whoever want to attend.
We will be taking the 7th-12th grade students to the North Pole of Texas on December 1st. If your student is coming make sure they have filled out a release form for this school year. We will leave @ 5:00 pm and be back at about 8:30pm. Students will need to be at the church at 4:30 pm and bring enough money to eat at a fast food restaurant on the way back.
Please consider joining us in showing love to our community as we host a Thanksgiving Day Meal, November 22nd from noon– 3:00 pm. We will have worship, share the gospel message, dinner, and one on one fellowship. We need volunteers to help in all areas, Even bring your family and enjoy a free meal.
will be Sunday, November 18th after the morning service. Please make plans to join us for worship and the meal after the service. The cost for this meal will be $10 for Adult/ Youth and $6 for Kids. There will be a $35 limit for a family. Sign up in the foyer if you want to preorder your meal.We will also be having dessert auction to help raise money to pay off our building.
