Church leadership

Meet our church staff

  • Lead Pastor

Pastor Kyle has been at Emmanuel since August of 2001. He was born and raised in Pittsburg, having previously been in education and served as a bi-vocational pastor for twenty years. He and his wife Angela were married in 1980, have two adult children, Thomas and Katie, and four grandchildren they adore, Tyler, Reece, Maddie and Ben. Pastor Kyle says he is continuously thanking the Lord for the amazing honor and blessing he has to lead and serve God's people for HIS glory!

  • Director of Children’s Ministry

Kim Brown is the Director of Children’s Ministries at Emmanuel. She and her husband Chad have been married since 2003 and have 4 children, all of whom were adopted in 2011. Kim has done ministry for over 20 years alongside her immediate and extended family. Native to Pittsburg she has grown up at Emmanuel serving in worship, preschool, youth and children’s ministries before joining the staff in 2019. She is focused on nurturing and discipling the upcoming generations in their faith and walk with Christ. When not teaching and embracing her inner child, you can find her with her family on their farm Emerald Acres. She enjoys playing with their baby animals on the farm and country living. She and her family do make the occasional get away to camp, canoe the river and fish. At the end of the day, Kim’s true passion is meeting kids where they are at to help facilitate and encourage their love and curiosity for all things Jesus.

  • Associate Pastor

Pastor Zach has been at Emmanuel since 2008. He was originally the student pastor and shifted over into the associate pastor position. He and his beautiful wife, Benita have four kids. They are blessed to be called to serve at Emmanuel and in this community.

  • Ministry Assistant

Susie Stephens grew up here in Pittsburg, Texas and has lived here most of her life. Here she served at First Baptist in the nursery and VBS. She left in 2005 to live with her mom and attended UT Tyler where she gained her bachelor’s degree in teaching. She and her family served at Green Acres until they moved to New Boston, Texas. It was at New Boston where she and Chad were called to begin a ministry for the students at the DeKalb Cowboy Church. They returned in 2016 to move closer to family. Her husband is Chad Stephens they were married on May 21, 2010. They have 2 daughters and 1 son. All three are grown, but Zane their son remains because of his disabilities. She attended the Grief Share group that was started here and later took over. She loves working in the Youth ministry, leading GXP (guest experience) and helping wherever she can. Susie has always felt a call to serve, and this is where her calling lead her to serve voluntarily until she was hired to work part time and now is full time on staff. She is the ministry assistant and office manager here at Emmanuel. She has been working here at Emmanuel since September 20th of 2020.

  • Worship Leader

Chase Petree is director of worship and technology at Emmanuel. He and his wife have two children currently. Chase has worked in a wide variety of ministries for the past 25 years ranging from leading worship in various settings and platforms, teaching young adults and adults to maintaining and setting up sound and tech related equipment for the church. Though Chase has been faithfully serving at Emmanuel for decades, he was called to pursue full time ministry in 2022 when he stepped out of the volunteer realm and joined the staff at Emmanuel. When Chase is not neck deep in ministry at Emmanuel, he enjoys spending time with his family and doing anything that involves being out in God’s creation. Chase’s happy place would be any place that has mountains, rivers and a mild climate. Though Chase has clear gifts in the music aspect of the Christian community, he feels most useful in the body of Christ when he is allowed the opportunity to exhort, encourage and build up his brothers and sisters in Christ. Whether that be with music, speaking or serving them in love.

  • Financial Ministry Assistant

Beth joined EBC as the Financial Ministry Assistant at the end of 2022. She and her family have attended EBC since 2021, when they moved to Pittsburg from Cedar Park.
